Up to date, 150 wild boar have been found dead, with 87 positive for ASF and 62 that have tested negative. See attached maps for details on sampling locations. All positive cases are within the same area as the previous positive findings (i.e. the territories Příluky, Hvozdná, Lužkovice and Kostelec). Please note that all the wild boar positive findings are included in the infected area as defined by the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2017/1162 of 28 June 2017 concerning certain interim protective measures relating to African swine fever in the Czech Republic. From 26 th June to 10 th August 2017 in total 150 dead wild boars were found and tested for ASF, 87 dead wild boars with positive result and 62 dead wild boars with negative result for ASF. New positive cases are located still in the same area (high risk area of approx. 40 km 2 ) as previous cases (cadastral territories: Příluky, Hvozdná, Lužkovice, Kostelec u Zlína, Klečůvka). The high risk area where is the ASF virus present is separated by electric and smell fences to reduce the risk of transmission of ASF virus outside from the infected area. Enclosed please find the map of results of monitoring of dead wild boars since 26 th June The infected area determined in the connection with previous cases has not been changed. Emergency veterinary measures in infected area in compliance with Council Directive 2002/60/EC have been taken. 3 In the whole territory of the Czech Republic the passive surveillance of found dead wild boars have been carried out. No case of ASF in wild boars in the Czech Republic outside infected area was detected. In the whole territory of the Czech Republic the passive surveillance and the checks of biosecurity measures in domestic pigs are carried out. No outbreak of ASF in the Czech Republic was recognized in domestic pigs. We will keep you informed about further developments. Kind regards.
