3 Human Specimen - Virology open In 2003, Georg Klopfer (MBA) and Dr. Christoph Metzger-Boddien (PhD) founded gerbion. Their idea was to transfer the profound knowledge in the diagnosis of infectious diseases and in the human and diagnostics markets into their own innovative products. In the beginning, the focus was on the detection of viral agents in human. In the following years, the portfolio was expanded to veterinary, food and diagnostics.
