7 Novecare Plants in India- Roha & Rasal Solvay s Novecare GBU is global leader in developing surfactants & solvents. GBU serves the agrochemicals, coatings, home and personal care, industrial and oil & gas markets. The GBU has manufacturing units at Roha & Rasal in Maharastra Rhodia Specialty Chemicals India Ltd, Roha Sunshield Chemicals Ltd, Rasal Roha unit was acquired in year 2000 Novecare s technology platforms are built on leading positions in surfactants, amines, phosphorus derivatives, natural & synthetic polymers and monomers, and eco-friendly solvents. Company was acquired in 2012 Company produces specialty chemicals and Surfactants for a wide range of applications in agrochemicals, coatings, industrial applications, home and personal care product New Technical Service Center in Roha will help to build strong partnerships with all customers through developing new products and applications for the local market 7

8 Solvay Engineering Plastics Panoli Solvay Engineering Plastics is a global specialist in performance solutions based on polyamide 6 and 6.6 for injection molding, extrusion and blow molding. The GBU has world-class compounding unit at Panoli, Gujarat Engineering Plastics Plant was acquired in 2011 from PI industries Under the flagship brand Technyl, Solvay s Engineering Plastics activity serves various markets as automotive and transportation, electrical and electronics, construction and industrial equipment, consumer India market for engineering polymers expected to grow at around 16% per annum over next 5 years Further investments for next level growth are under analysis 8

9 Solvay Specialty Polymers Plant, Panoli Panoli is Solvay's largest plant worldwide for PEEK & PAEK polymers which are innovative ultra performance polymers that tower at the top of the plastics performance pyramid Specialty Polymers Business Panoli plant produces ultra-high performance KetaSpire polyetheretherketone (PEEK), AvaSpire polyaryletherketones (PAEK), Poly Ether Sulfones (PESU), monomers which along with their ease of processing provide substantial value for design engineers. Majority of products are exported to US & Europe Business serves diverse industries like Aeronautics, Automotive, Electrical and Electronics, Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Process industries such as semiconductor manufacturing 9

11 HiChem JV Solvay has long history of successful JV s in India with its strategic partner MP Birla group for guar gum and guar extracts HiChem Solvay enjoys a 50-year joint venture partnership with an MP Birla group for guar gum and guar extracts. Derivatized guar is a polymer produced from a bean grown mainly in India Solvay's technology makes it possible to use the guar gum, after processing in the Group's site in Vernon, Texas, for numerous purposes, including conditioners for shower gels and shampoos and additives for the extraction of gas and oil India is the no. 1 producer of guar gum in the world. Since 2008, Solvay has worked with Hichem to develop cationic guar gum (conditioners for shampoos) locally in India. 11

12 Special Chemicals- Solvay Vishnu Barium Solvay Special Chemicals GBU is world leader in fluor, strontium and barium-based specialties Srikalahasti - Solvay Vishnu Barium Company is subsidiary of the Solvay & CPC Barium Strontium Group, Germany. The manufacturing facility is conveniently located in South India very close to the main raw materials and just 150 km from Chennai, one of the main Indian ports Solvay Vishnu Barium produces Barium Carbonate Elemental Sulphur Major end uses are ceramics, glass, barium derivatives & sulphuric acid 12
