3 Sacramento County Charter Approved Purpose: The purpose of the Medi-Cal Dental Advisory Committee is to provide oversight and guidance to improve dental utilization rates, the delivery of oral health and dental care services, including prevention and education services, dental managed care and fee-forservice Denti-Cal in Sacramento County. Authority: AB 1467 (Budget Committee), effective July 1, Sponsor/Convener: First 5 Sacramento Commission. Scope of Work (SOW): The Medi-Cal Dental Managed Care Advisory Committee will provide input verbally and in writing on the delivery of oral health and dental care services to the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors (BOS) and the First 5 Sacramento Commission, as applicable, regarding policies that improve the delivery of oral health and dental services in Sacramento County under the Medi-Cal program or countyadministered health care system.
