3 General Information Course Aim: The aim of the course is to teach and discuss advanced knowledge in traumatology of the midface and orbit. Course participants will learn to perform extraoral and enoral approaches to the midface and orbit as well as the coronal approach. Authentic hands-on dissections and advanced osteosynthesis exercises will guarantee a most practical outcome. Who should attend: This course is designed for surgical specialists beginning their careers in traumatology of the midface and orbit, as well as for those experienced in surgical techniques, who wish to continue to refine their anatomical knowledge and surgical abilities. The participant can select between three options: 1. Complete course attendance including a 3-hour hands-on osteosynthesis training (Thursday, March 31 st, 2011) and a 4-hour cadaver dissection (Friday, April 1 st, 2011). 2. Participation to the theoretical sessions from March 31 st to April 2 nd, 2011 and hands-on osteosynthesis training (Thursday, March 31 st, 2011). 3. Participation to the theoretical sessions only. 11 Further Information Please note, that Kuehtai is a ski resort on an altitude of approx. 2,000 m. Please dress accordingly. There is a possibility of alpine or nordic skiing before and after the Innsbruck winter course as well as during the midday breaks. Because of its altitude, this place can almost guarantee good snow and skiing conditions. Straight from hotel Jagdschloss, the participant will gain access to the ski runs, walking trails and nordic loppets. Travel to Innsbruck by railway, car and plane Travel from Innsbruck to Kuehtai: 45 min. transfer by hotel shuttle bus or by public bus (starting at the bus station nearby the railway station in Innsbruck). Innsbruck airport and railway station are 45 min. away from hotel Jagdschloss (by car). Munich airport (Germany) is approximately 2 hours away by car.
