The screw-retained cara I-Butment made of cobalt-chrome is definitely one of these. They ensure a long-lasting, aesthetic single-tooth restoration and allow flexible working even in complicated situations due to the possibility to angulate the screw channel. Produced in one piece from cobalt-chrome, the abutments withstand the strong forces in the mouth and are also particularly hygienic, as the CoCr alloys are more resistant to bacteria than titanium 1. 11 The choice is what makes the difference. The decision about which solution is the best for the patient in question is of course yours. The same also applies for the cara I-Bridge, which we offer in four different versions. Zr Ti CoCr SLM CoCr milled If high aesthetics using a tooth-coloured shade and perfect gingival adsorption without a cement gap are required, zirconia has proven itself a first-class solution. The zirconia version allows you to produce bridges with up to seven units on max. three implants, please look at platform overview. If the focus lies on the same material as the implant, high wearing comfort and a low weight of the superstructure, a cara I-Bridge made of titanium is particularly well suited. With its smooth milled surfaces, the bridge is ready to go for the veneering. For delicate retentions such as holes or very thin pins and in cases where the implant connections are positioned very close together, we recommend precise reproduction of your prototype in cobalt-chrome using the selected laser melting (SLM) additive production process. The milled cobalt-chrome version is a preferred solution for small retention pins. This creates even smoother surfaces, which do not need to be finished. However, it is not possible to reproduce particularly delicate details so precisely with this subtractive procedure and they may vary from the prototype.
