1 Oral Health Conference & Exhibition BSDHT 9 & 10 November 2012 ACC, Liverpool for further information
2 Welcome to Liverpool! This year, for the first time, we head off to Liverpool for our annual Oral Health Conference & Exhibition, which will be held on 9 and 10 November The venue for the event is the impressive ACC at Liverpool s waterfront, overlooking the River Mersey and close to landmarks such as the Albert Dock, Tate Gallery, and many of Liverpool s historic buildings, including the stunning Liver Building all within a UNESCO World Heritage site no less! And those of you who have attended previous conferences will notice more than just a change of venue. We ve also changed the format directly as a result of feedback from delegates and members, and in response to a call for more choice. At the 2012 event and for the first time on this scale delegates will be able to select from a programme of options with a choice between attending the key main sessions or, if they prefer, selecting one of a range of parallel sessions or workshops. A total of 18 speakers have been selected for the event offering a wide range of topics including periodontology, public health, CPR, medical emergencies, tooth whitening, law and ethics, local anaesthetics, restorations, forensic dentistry (back by popular demand), ultrasonics, autoimmune disease, communication and, disinfection and decontamination. Our impressive line-up of speakers includes Dr Anousheh Alavi, Martin Ashley, Leo Briggs, Barry Cockcroft, Dr David Conway, Professor Geoffrey Craig, Maria Perno Goldie, James Goolnik, Chris Kurt-Gabel, Rhiannon Jones, Carmel Maher, Dr Brenda Murray, Professor Kevin O Brien, Dr Paul Redmond, Dr Nigel Robb, Dr Komal Suri, Professor Damien Walmsley and Susan Wingrove. BSDHT has always enjoyed tremendous support from the dental trade and we hope that this will continue this year. We regard the exhibition as an integral part of the event and one that delegates enjoy. And as well as stands we plan to arrange exhibition hall seminars, workshops, and even a Beatles themed reception! Registration opens on 8 August! 9 & 10 November 2012 ACC, Liverpool Sally Simpson BSDHT President
