5 Careers in Kinesiology Name: Date: 3 CULMINATING ASSIGNMENT Career Path Report Research a potential career in the field of kinesiology that was discussed in this course, and write a detailed report outlining everything that someone would need to know to pursue that career path. You may obtain your information from the Internet, from books, or from a personal interview with someone currently in the field. The more research you conduct, the more thorough your report will be. You may use sentences, bullets, charts, or point form to explain and summarize your findings. You will also present this information to the class if time permits, so it is important to be an expert in the career you choose to research. Consult Figure.1 on page 34 of the textbook to get you started. This chart gives you a good overview of the possible occupations and career opportunities available to kinesiology graduates. Your report should include information outlining the following points: Introduction Provide a brief history of the career, including alternative names and how it has come to play such an important role in our society. Body Paragraphs Discuss some of the education requirements for obtaining the certificate(s), diploma(s), or degree(s). Discuss a day in the life of a person in this profession. What is unique about this career, such as responsibilities, demand, promotion opportunities, and expected salary ranges? Conclusion Discuss why you chose to research this career and whether you would pursue this career for your future. Why or why not? Use the space provided to formulate an outline and abstract for your report. Then submit a two-page typewritten report summarizing your career choice following the guidelines above.
