1 Year 10 GCSE PE Theory Overview of the year Cycle 1 In cycle 1 we will be focusing on Component 2: Topic 1 Health Fitness and Well-being: Improving health, physical health, emotional health, social health, lifestyle choices, sedentary lifestyle and its impacts, diet & energy balance, macronutrients, micronutrients, optimum weight and dietary manipulation. Cycle 2 In cycle 2 we will be focusing on Component 2: Topic 2 Sport Psychology and Topic 3 Socio-cultural influences: Classification of skills, types of practise, goal setting, types of guidance, types of feedback, mental rehearsal, socio-economic groups, commercialisation and sporting behaviour deviance. Cycle 3 In cycle 3 we will be focusing on Component 1: Topic 3 Physical in preparation for the PEP coursework. The relationship between fitness, health, exercise and training/ components of health related fitness, components of skill related fitness, PARQ, fitness tests, principles of training, principles of overload, thresholds of training, types of training.
