The mrs score 0-1 indicates no disability, 2-3 slight to moderate disability, 4-5 severe disability, and a score of 6 indicates death. 13 Original Article Randomized Assessment of Rapid Endovascular Treatment of Ischemic Stroke (ESCAPE) the ESCAPE Trial Investigators In this randomized trial involving patients who had moderate-to-severe acute ischemic stroke with proximal vessel occlusion and a small infarct core, endovascular treatment improved functional outcomes.
