1 Price List & Mail Order Information Woodland Herbs is an independent complementary health centre, specialising in herbal medicine. It consists of a shop, herbal dispensary and clinic. We believe that herbal medicine is a potent method of treatment, provided the product is of good quality and it is combined with good advice. Wherever possible we try to stock organic products, as we believe that organic products offer a better, healthier option for our customers. Dried Herbs The dispensary currently stocks over 80 different dried herbs, many of which are organic. Dried herbs are commonly used to make herbal teas, but can also be used in the making of other herbal products, such as herbal infused oils or tinctures. They could also be used for pot pouri or what about rose petals for wedding confetti! The herbs are sold by weight, so you can order as little or as much as you want. Tinctures The dispensary stocks many tinctures (an alcohol extract of the herb). Some of these tinctures are only available to qualified herbalists, but others are available over the counter. The prices vary immensely ( for 50 ml). If a tincture is required please phone and ask for more information. Other Dispensary Goods People are becoming more aware of the chemicals contained in many products and are requesting the base ingredients to make their own products. From using a base cream or shower gel and adding your own essential oils, to making your own cream from cocoa butter, herbal tea and infused oil, we have all the ingredients you may need. 2 Herbal Remedies Beside the herbal goods stocked in the dispensary, the shop stocks a range of herbal remedies from companies such as Bioforce, Potters, Salus and Solgar; each have a long tradition of manufacturing quality herbal medicines. Bioforce Bioforce has been making their products for nearly 40 years, making use wherever possible of fresh plants from the company s organic crops, or plants growing in the wild. The company was founded by Alfred Vogel, a Swiss Naturopath who believed that the primary active constituents in a herb work together with the secondary constituents, playing an important synergistic role in the whole herb. The Bach Flower Remedies were discovered in the 1930s by Dr Bach and were the first flower remedies to be used commercially. 4 Body Care A healthy body is not just about what we put in it, but also what we put on it. Many modern body care products contain chemicals to make them look white, foam and to smell nice. At Woodland Herbs we have tried to stock a wide range of body care products, to provide a choice of good quality natural products. Weleda The same high standards used for their remedies are used for Weleda s body care range, which are not tested on animals, contains no artificial or synthetic ingredients and are suitable for vegetarians.
