12 training schedule year 1 addendum 1. Diagnostic Evaluations Observed for all residents to be arranged, on an individual basis, every other week 2. Case Conference Mondays, p.m. Starting in September, the fourth Monday of each month will be a combined conference where firstyear residents will be asked to present an APS (Acute Psychiatry Service) case for discussion. Dr. Laura Prager, Director of Child Psychiatry Emergency Services, will join Dr. Miller for these sessions. 3. Offices a. Shared b. Clinical Priorities Residents in this program will have multiple clinical and academic responsibilities (as you will have when you complete training). In keeping with the overall mission of Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, our first priority is patient care. Inpatient Rotation (4 30 hours/week): Inpatient Unit at Franciscan Children s Hospital (latency) a. Supervision: Drs. Calligas and Stromberg b. Caseload: 3 treatment cases c. Partial Hospital (ART) Rotation (4 30 hours/week): McLean Hospital a. Supervision: each resident supervised individually and in group by attendings, Drs. Rater, Aguirre and Vo, et al. Additional supervision for psychopharmacology and multimodal treatment, walk rounds and individual supervision. b. Chief Residency (10 hours max): Teaching in APS, Administrative Psychiatry Training (OPD, Hospital Systems of Care) d. Community Consultation Rotation (4 hours): APS chart review, consultation to community health centers from APS and by direct visits e. Description of activities, site(s), time spent at each site, and supervisor (mentor) must be written and approved by Training Director f. Call (See schedule) 6.
