1 UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON PSYCHIATRY RESIDENCY CLINICAL ROTATIONS Seattle Track, 4-year program: PGY-1 4 months Medicine OR 4 months Pediatrics OR Medicine, Pediatrics PGY-1 Didactics (Thursdays 12-5) 6 months Inpatient 4 months Consultation-Liaison Continuity Clinic (Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon) 4 months Inpatient 3 months Selectives (e.g. addictions, child, community psychiatry, forensics, geriatrics, research) 1 Outpatient one day/week Outpatient Child (or adult outpatient, if child rotation done in year) two days/week Adult Outpatient cludes geriatric and addiction psychiatry, if not done in year) Didactics (Thursdays 8-3) 1 Elective Rotations (70% time), including: Advanced clinical electives Community/public psychiatry Research and/or Teaching electives Chief resident Away rotations (Alaska, Montana, Wyoming) Child fellowship Didactics (Thursdays 8-1:30)

2 Seattle Track, 3-year program: 9 months Inpatient 3 months Consultation- Liaison Continuity Clinic (Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon; starts in January for residents entering as s) 6 months of: (one day/week X 2 mos) Consultation-Liaison (one day/week X 4 mos) Outpatient (3 days/week; includes one day/week continuity clinic) Didactics (Thursdays 8-3) 6 months Outpatient one day/week Outpatient Child two days/week Adult Outpatient 6 months Outpatient one day/week Outpatient Child two days/week Adult Outpatient Didactics (Thursdays 8-1:30) 6 months Elective Rotations (70% time), including: Advanced clinical electives ( if not completed in prior training) Community/public psychiatry Research and/or Teaching electives Chief resident Away rotations (Alaska, Montana, Wyoming) Didactics (Thursdays 8-1:30) Of note, residents entering as s who wish to start Child and Adolescent training in the year should consult the Residency Director about modifying their rotation schedule to allow this.
