1 NHHAC News The Newsletter of the North Hills Historic Auto Club May 2018 Volume 48 Issue 5 A Message from the President Once again, I have to apologize for not being able to get into the church hall for our monthly meeting. Thanks to Jackie Sheerer who called Eat n Park and they were able to take us there for our meeting. It was small, but everything worked out OK. I did contact the church people and they got back to me saying that a part of the door had to be replaced. So, that being done, we ll see how it goes for the May 20th meeting. (Note that the May meeting date is change to the 20th in observance of Mother s Day.) Suzanne Acker would like to get rid of the Car Show items that were used for the food preparation, etc. If there is anything you might want, feel free to call Suzanne. The weather has finally changed to be more conducive for tours. ABOUT TIME! Some folks have asked me if I would think about changing our lunch trips back to Wednesdays. Many people said that they could not go on Wednesdays, so I changed to Thursdays. We ll try Thursdays for a couple of years to see how it goes. Those of you who can t go on Thursdays, then just plan one for Wednesdays. I m sure that there would be some who would go and you don t know until you try. If you get this letter before our first trip and you d like to go, please just call me. Your President, Steve Illsley Since 1971 History The North Hills Historic Auto Club was founded at Leon s Tavern on Babcock Blvd. in August of 1971, by 4 men as follows: Bill Glesner, Eddie Kuslick, Ken Kelley & Dave Moore. Purpose The general purpose of the NHHAC shall be to encourage the members to acquire, preserve, restore, exhibit and make use of antique, classic and special interest automobiles, and such other motor vehicles considered by the club fitting this purpose. Also, the club will promote the introduction of ideas and fellowship among its members.

NEW BUSINESS: 4/29/18 Car Cruise in lot next to Terry's Plumbing on Babcock Blvd. There is a $10.00 donation per car that will be donated to Wounded Warriers. Hours: Noon - 5:00 p.m. Welcome to new member, Bob Proudfoot, owner of a 1930 Chevy Coupe. Last Men's Breakfast will be at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant (Rt. 228 in Cranberry Township) on Friday, 4/27/18. The Men's Breakfast will resume again in the Fall. NOTE: Suzanne Acker has a lot of car show concession items stored at her home.
