5 Leadership giving Those who donate at the leadership level are recognized in the following categories: RED FEATHER SOCIETY $1,200 to $2,399 annually TORCHBEARERS $2,400 to $4,799 annually COMMUNITY BUILDERS $4,800 to $9,999 annually As a leadership donor, you will receive recognition in a variety of ways throughout the year, plus receive updates on what your investment is making possible for others here in Greater Kansas City.

7 Leaders coming together As a leadership donor, you also may be eligible for membership in one or more of United Way s giving societies: WOMEN S LEADERSHIP COUNCIL Networking and volunteer opportunities for women who donate $2,400 or more annually. WLC members focus their efforts on education opportunities, particularly for children in low-income families. YOUNG LEADERS SOCIETY Special events and professional development opportunities for emerging philanthropic leaders in their 20s, 30s and 40s in Kansas City and who donate $1,200 or more annually. YLS members focus on making a significant impact on the lives of at-risk young adults. AFRICAN AMERICAN LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE A collaborative of African American philanthropic leaders who donate $2,400 or more annually. AALI focuses on serving as a mobilizing agent for social change, particularly in the African American community. LATINO LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE United Way s newest giving society, LLI includes leaders from the Latino community who donate $2,400 or more annually. LLI members focus on addressing the most pressing needs in our community. Funding to support both AALI and LLI is provided by the H&R Block Foundation, the W.J. Brace Charitable Trust, the Sprint Foundation and the Sosland Foundation.

9 Tocqueville Society One of the most prestigious giving societies in our community, the United Way Tocqueville Society brings together leaders with the passion, expertise and resources needed to make a profound, longlasting impact on Greater Kansas City. Tocqueville members make an individual or household gift of $10,000* or more annually, and enjoy a variety of unique events throughout the year as well as special recognition in United Way communications. *To be eligible for Toqueville Society membership, at least 50 percent of your gift must be directed to United Way or one of our three impact areas.
