The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals set out ambitious goals for humanity to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity. They can only be realized if we invest in and empower the next generation. We ve been taking that challenge and opportunity very seriously at Hilton. IN 2014, WE COMMITTED TO OPEN DOORS FOR AT LEAST ONE MILLION YOUNG PEOPLE BY 2019 by connecting, preparing and employing them. To date, we have reached over 500,000 young people, and the journey to reach our goal continues. 3 The Hilton Vocational Training Centre provides better opportunities for young people with less advantages like me. The school gives us food, uniforms, accommodations and pocket money, which is very helpful. I know the training that I m receiving is the foundation for my future. LWIN MOE OO Housekeeping Trainee, Hilton Vocational Training Centre - Myanmar Connecting WE ARE CONNECTING YOUNG PEOPLE TO THE WORLD OF HOSPITALITY YOUTH IN HOSPITALITY, our annual career awareness celebration, has engaged more than 265,000 young people through job fairs, career guidance talks and job shadowing events hosted by our hotels and offices. Since 2012, we have partnered with ROOM TO READ to create greater access to educational opportunities for 70,000 young people, in particular girls, in South Asia by Since 2015, Hilton in Australia has impacted more than 400 youth with THE SMITH FAMILY, a charity that helps disadvantaged young Australians create better futures for themselves.

When I decided to pursue an apprenticeship with Hilton rather than going to college, it opened a number of doors for me that I never thought possible.

4 When I decided to pursue an apprenticeship with Hilton rather than going to college, it opened a number of doors for me that I never thought possible. And since then, I have been put forward for so many new opportunities. My goal is to become an influential Sales Director, who will champion apprenticeships within the company. DANIELA IANNELLI Coordinator, Group, Conference and Events, The Waldorf Hilton London Preparing WE ARE PREPARING YOUNG PEOPLE BY OFFERING PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TRAINING THE INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FOUNDATION has been our global partner since 2012 to provide local skills training and insights across the globe. To date, we have trained more than 8,200 young Team Members and local youth across 14 countries in the life-skills training program, Passport to Success for Hospitality. We participate in the YOUTH CAREER INITIATIVE, an International Tourism Partnership program, which provides training and employment to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since 2014, we have trained 135 young people in nine countries. Hilton s network of 22 SCHOOL ALLIANCES in China contributes 1,200 to 1,500 interns and management trainees to our hotels every year. Our teams conduct over 200 Hilton training sessions for these school alliances.

We are a founding member of the 100,000 OPPORTUNITIES INITIATIVE, the largest employer-led coalition in the U.S. committed to creating pathways to meaningful employment for young people. We take action to identify, recruit and employ out-of-school, out-of-work young people as a founding member of the WHITE HOUSE S FIRST JOB COMPACT.
