This executive level position reported directly to the hospital Superintendent. Primary duties included designing, evaluating, and monitoring strategies for the delivery of effective programs; conducting and directing research, planning, and evaluation projects; assuring that standards for hospital accreditation are met and maintained; and participating on the hospital's executive management team and on statewide planning and evaluation committees. The Quality Management Department also included supervision of the staff development program and oversight of the Medical Records Department. Position: Director, Forensic Evaluation Program, November 1990 to February 1995 Duties: Responsible for the operation of the Forensic Evaluation Program, one of four hospital programs, which provides evaluation and treatment services to people who have been arrested and who may have mental illnesses. Primary duties included developing and evaluating programs; supervising seventy support and treatment staff; serving as the liaison between the mental health and criminal justice systems in St. Louis and the surrounding counties; participating in statewide committees; and assisting the State Director of Forensic Services with annual forensic surveys and other special data needs. August 1988 MacMurray College to December 1990 Jacksonville, Illinois Position: Instructor of Social Work, Department of Social Work and Sociology Duties: Taught primarily introductory, policy, and research methods courses in the Social Work Program.
