Secretary details; PO Box 526 HINDMARSH SA 5007 Welcome all members, I hope you like our new logo on the Newsletter, I think the next competition will be to give our News Letter a name, What do you think? Please feel free to send me your good luck stories or recent events that you may want to share with the Industry. We are working on our next training session, Provide Customer Service which will include shop presentation and point of sale. Contact me if you have people you may want to send along. We will try and get guest speakers to attend also. The next session will be held over two 2 hour sessions on a Wednesday night, Interim dates have been made for the 16 th and the 23 rd February 2011, so pop those dates in your diary we are going to be using the Retails Room at TAFESA Adelaide Campus. 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Members FREE non members $ It is our plan to have more social events for members to get together. First being our Christmas Function at The Royal Coach Inn details below. If you haven t already put your name forward please contact Peter Corones if you would like to attend. The last general meeting for the DIASA will be held at Envirostill at Wingfield followed by a BBQ tea, the meeting will commence at 6.30pm, this is a great opportunity for SA Drycleaners to see what happens with their waste, a must see

4 Monthly Profile Cess Batten Gawler Dry Cleaners I am happily married to John Batten, I have three boys William, David and Reuben and am the proud Grandmother of three girls, Claudia 12, Christine 11 and Jennifer 10. Work History: I did my early schooling at St. Augustine s, then at Salisbury High. After enrolling at the Metropolitan Business College in Adelaide. I was lucky to get the first job I applied for at I.C.S. (Aust) P/L. I was a Stenographer/Secretary to the Managing Director and worked for the Company until I left to have my first child. Zodiac/Star Sign: Aries. Hobbies: Bred and exhibited English Pointer Dogs for nearly twenty years and loved it. I started doing Bonsai three years ago and am completely hopeless at it. My sister has done Bonsai for nearly twelve years so I am constantly asking her for help. I am a member of the Gawler Book Club. We meet every month and have great fellowship and discussions about that month s book. Likes: Love my time with the Granddaughters. They are the joy of my life. Love taking them to places and shopping. Girls are great fun. I look forward to school holidays. Dislikes: Spiders, Spiders, and Spiders. Favourite Music: Most music but particularly classical and Male Voice Choir.

5 Pets: No pets now. Favourite Holiday: Going to England to see Crufts. (World biggest and best dog show) and then being invited to Ireland to see the Pointers there. Most Memorable Moment: When the Gawler Historical Society did an exhibition of migrants to Australia. They featured my Mum and Dad. All the dignitaries were there. I wished my dad were alive to see it. The Adelaide Museum has requested permission to use some of our photos in their Exhibition next year.
