27 ENERGILASS 20 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION A free-choice, high-energy, molasses-based supplement formulated for cattle consuming mediumto lower-quality pasture, hay, or forage. Available in 250-lb tub. ENERGILASS 20 A supplement for beef calves and cattle on pasture. FEATURES AND BENEFITS High energy - molasses and added fat results in a very high level of sugar and energy. This high sugar level and the licking action needed for consumption increase saliva production. This, in turn, may improve the rumen environment which would improve forage digestion. Highly palatable - the high level of molasses solids and fat make for a highly palatable product. The licking action along with saliva produced softens the top 1/4 inch of the block allowing limited consumption. When this thin layer is consumed the animals must wait for the next layer of the block to soften before they can consume additional product. Guaranteed mineral and high vitamin levels are important for animal health, efficient nutrient utilization and better nutrition. Low moisture - the manufacturing process reduces moisture to less than 4%. Other typical big blocks contain about 25% moisture, adding to the freight and handling costs. No binders or hardeners - many big blocks use chemicals and binders to harden the block or to control consumption. EnergiLass does not contain these ingredients. This means you are buying only nutritional ingredients. Plastic barrel is convenient to handle and eliminates waste. Even in bad weather, the nutrients are contained in the barrel. When the barrel is almost empty the block is not lost in mud or manure as is often the case with conventional blocks or biodegradable tubs. FEEDING DIRECTIONS Feed EnergiLass 20 to beef calves and cattle consuming medium to lower quality pasture, hay, or forage. Place barrel(s) in a dry location near the animal s source of water, salt, mineral, or loafing area. Consumption will vary depending on animal size; stage of production; quality, source, and availability of roughage and/or grains; number of animals per barrel and barrel location.
