16 Evaluation workshop remarks The presentation on the validation of methods (ISO series) was very useful, but still some questions left about validation. More useful if presentation on ISO was planned at the beginning of a session, when the audience is more willing to absorb all this information, and not at the end. Nice presentations from different NRLs. Do not start the workshop on a Monday, to avoid traveling on Sunday. Please indicate the participants addresses at the list of participants. Organise the workshop every year at another location/country. 16

18 Outbreak Salmonella Bareilly In 2017 and continuing in 2018: large increase in cases of Salmonella Bareilly in Czech Republic and Slovak Republic; On 7 May 2018 EFSA aksed EURL-Salmonella for profiles (pulsotype and sequence) of S. Bareilly in food; On 8 May 2018 the NRLs-Salmonella were requested for available molecular typing data of S. Bareilly isolated from food or animals in ; By 25 May 2018 replies of 15 NRLs from 14 countries: 9 NRLs: no recent S. Bareilly found in food/animals; 5 NRLs: 1-11 isolates found in period ; 1 NRL: still searching database. WGS data received on 25/5/18 of 1 NRL: 3 isolates (2x broiler skin of March 2018; 1x from pps broiler of October 2016). Comparison with WGS human isolates in coming week. 18
