3 Foreword This Standard replaces FZ/T Quaternary Fiber Mixtures - Quantitative chemical analysis. The main changes are as follows, compared with FZ/T : - The Standard name is changed to Textiles - Quantitative chemical analysis. Quaternary fiber mixtures; - The correction coefficient d of fiber mass variation shall be conducted according to provisions of each part in G/T eleted reagents, instruments and specimen preparation (chapter 4, chapter 5, chapter 6 and 7.1 in edition 1993); - dded the graphic illustration to dissolution procedure; - Modified three kinds of calculation formula; - Modified nnex (deleted quaternary fiber mixtures and adopted reagents and correction coefficient in edition 1993; added examples for the mass fraction calculation of quaternary fiber mixtures); - Modified nnex (deleted quaternary fiber mixtures; added agents and correction coefficient in edition 1993; added methods used to analyze the content of quaternary fiber mixtures); - eleted nnex. nnex and annex of this Standard are informative. 4 Textiles - Quantitative chemical analysis Quaternary fiber mixtures 1 Scope This Standard specifies the quantitative chemical analysis of textiles - quaternary fiber mixtures. This Standard applies to the content analysis of textiles - quaternary fiber mixtures. 2 Normative references The articles contained in the following documents have become part of this document when they are quoted herein. For the dated documents so quoted, all subsequent modifications (including all corrections) or revisions made thereafter do not apply to this Standard. However, the parties who reach an agreement according to this Standard are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents may be used. For the undated documents so quoted, the latest versions (including all modification sheets) apply to this document. G/T 2910 (ll parts) Textiles - Quantitative chemical analysis 3 Principles fter conducting qualitative identification to the fraction of mixtures, use appropriate pretreatment method to remove non-fibrous materials; select appropriate reagent to dissolve one or more fraction fibers in the mixture; calculate the mass fraction of each fraction fiber with the mass lost in dissolution or the mass of remaining fiber. Unless there are technical difficulties, it is best to remove fiber fraction with large content to make the fiber fraction with less content to be the last insoluble residue. 4 Reagents and equipment Use the equipment and reagents specified in G/T tmospheres for conditioning and testing Page 4 of 19

6 The compositions of mixed textile (net and dry mass )are as follows: Wool 3.8% Polyamide 31.2% Viscose 29.4% otton.2 Program Overview Qualitative analysis showed that the mixture consists of wool, silk, polyacrylonitrile fibers and cotton. When using program 2, take two samples, dissolve silk (), polyacrylonitrile fiber() and cotton () in the first sample; dissolve cotton (), silk () and then dissolve polyacrylonitrile fiber() in the second sample. The test result is as follows: a) The dry weight of the first sample after preprocessing : m1= g; b) fter the first sample is treated by sulfuric acid, the dry weight of remaining fiber (cotton) r1= g; c) The dry weight of the second sample after preprocessing: m2= g; d) fter the second sample is treated by the sodium, the dry weight of remaining fiber (polyacrylonitrile fiber + cotton): r2= g; e) fter the second sample is treated by the sodium, the dry weight of remaining fiber (polyacrylonitrile fiber + cotton): r2= g; e) fter the second sample is treated by dimethylformamide,the dry weight of remaining fiber (cotton): r3= g; Sulfate to wool d1= There is no mass loss of alkaline sodium to polyacrylonitrile fiber d2=1.00 and to cotton d3= =1.04. imethylformamide to cotton d1= Therefore dimethylformamide to cotton after being treated by sodium and dimethylformamide reagent d4= = alculation of net and dry mass fraction P4(cotton) = Page 14 of 19
