2 Welcome Message Dear Colleague This is to inform you that the Seventeeth Winter Meeting of Ranawat Orthopaedic Conference (ROC) Advances & Techniques In Joint Replacement Surgery & Arthroscopy will be held in New Delhi at Hotel Pullman, Aerocity from Thursday, 21st February to Saturday, 23rd February Tremendous progress has been made in joint replacement surgery in the last decade. With newer technologies and innovations in joint replacement, the patient outcomes have improved. Also, newer advances have been made in the eld of pain management after hip and knee arthroplasty. This has improved the output in terms of Return to Work early. This time, we are planning a very special program which will debate all the recent developments including robotics, computerized navigation, cementless total knee replacement, unicondylar knee replacement amongst others. 3 LATE K. T. DHOLAKIA BEST PAPER AWARD Presentation ( Two Awards ) Ranawat Orthopaedic Research Foundation invites two full papers related to Hip or Knee Arthroplasty for selection for the LATE K.T. DHOLAKIA Best Paper Award". One paper will be for author less than Forty years of age, and one for author more than Forty years of age. Instructions for complete paper submission 1. Eligibility Age criteria as mentioned above ( Please indicate your date of birth). It is compulsory for you to register for the conference to be eligible for selection. 2. Decision The committee will scrutinize all the papers submitted and shall select only two papers for the award ( one for below 40 age group and one for above 40 age group) The decision of the committee regarding selection of the paper for the award will be nal and binding. 3. Award Only the author whose paper gets selected for the award will be given 8 minutes for the presentation of his paper during the conference at on 05th January The award winner shall also get a special prize and certi cate of merit. 4. Format The full paper must be sent as hard copies in MS word, (1 copy to be submitted by post) & one soft copy (to be submitted by ). Should include author's name with degree and designation. ii) Introduction : Should state the nature, aims and purpose of the study. iii) Materials and Methods : Should provide all the basic data and description of what was actually done and details of the research, clinical or experimental procedure. iv) Results : Should contain the ndings of the study with appropriate chart and tables. v) Discussion and conclusion : Should be based on the ndings and relate to the purpose of the study. Comparative analysis of your work with other studies in literature should be made. vi) References : Should be included wherever relevant. 6.
