2 Welcome to the LSORA 2 day Ultrasound in Pain Medicine workshop We are proud to present our second two-day Ultrasound in Pain Medicine workshop with live scanning and lectures. We are introducing the new concept of combining ultrasound guided blocks in acute pain, chronic pain and cancer pain management in a single workshop. Based on the recommendation of The American Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy, and the Asian Australasian Federation of Pain Societies Joint Committee Recommendations for Education and Training in Ultrasound - Guided Interventional Pain Procedures, the course has been adapted to accommodate delegates of all capabilities and will cater the training at an individual level. Anatomy, Sonoanatomy and live demonstration We will teach the anatomy and sonoanatomy related to specific b l o c k s f o l l o w e d b y t h e l i v e demonstration of the same topic by experts which will help you to consolidate the knowledge gained from the lectures and introduce the scanning technique as well. We w i l l a l s o t e a c h y o u t h e knobology of US machines to learn how to set up the machine and get the best out of it. 2 Ultrasound Guided blocks We have national and international faculty who are well known for their expertise in the field of ultrasound guided blocks for chronic pain, acute pain and cancer pain. We will teach each block by demonstrating how to locate the structures and the best way to perform the blocks. We have a 2:1 delegate to faculty ratio. There will be a dedicated station to practice needling technique and an Any block station to practice specific blocks the delegates feel the need to improve or opportunity to see and learn new blocks will be available. We hope you will thoroughly enjoy your learning experience with us. Thank you for attending, Dr. Athmaja Thottungal Pain lead- London Society of Regional Anaesthesia Dr Beenu Madhavan Chairman- London Society of Regional Anaesthesia
