2 Seite 2 von 12 GENERAL TRAINING FOR NDT ON COMPOSITE MATERIALS PROVIDED TO LUFTHANSA TECHNIK TRAINING Testia Germany provided a general Engineering Training for NDT on Composite Materials to Lufthansa Technik (LHT), Frankfurt, Germany on June 9 th The performed NDT training for composite structures in maintenance was performed for maintenance specialists of LHT in Frankfurt, Germany. The aim of the training was to show current major and most applicable NDT techniques used for maintenance of composite (monolithic & sandwich) structures in Aerospace. Beside the theory a strong focus was on having practical hands-on sessions, which includes a wide range of NDT equipment used in todays aerospace world (Smart NDT Tool, OMNISCAN, ELCH, Gecko, DolphiCam, FSC1, Exoscan, etc.) In addition an outlook on supporting tools (OMA-Online Maintenance Assistance, MiRA-Mixed Reality Application, SHM-Structural Health Monitoring, etc.) was given. The training was very well acknowledged by the LHT specialists. Further trainings will be given in the near future. CONTACT US

INSPECTION The inspection of the HTP multispar box has been completed. It was initially developed by Airbus to facilitate the maintenance operations of the composite aircrafts produced by the group.

It can be operated by non-certified operators thanks to traffic-light Go-NoGo automatic diagnosis and acoustic coupling monitoring.

ANDTc provided all the questions (which included some interesting general knowledge ones) and the quiz masters for the evening. The objective with the evening was to informally test the participants NDT knowledge, and have a lot of fun in the process. Some useful prizes (everybody got something!) and a lot of bragging rights were up for grabs. At the event, the names of two persons were drawn from the attendees and other entrants who each won a free PCN examination of their choice. This competition is running until the end of the year, to celebrate ANDTc s PCN AQB status.
