1 2014 Central Ohio SENIOR GAMES FINAL REPORT Summary The Westerville Parks & Recreation Department hosted the Central Ohio Senior Games for the second consecutive year. 206 Senior athletes from 5 different states invaded Westerville and greater Columbus in the spirit of athletic competition, camaraderie, and healthy lifestyle choices. Sixteen sports were offered creating 48 events throughout the three weeks. Athletes were particularly pleased with the high level of organization and attention to detail provided by the event coordinators. Fourteen sponsors teamed up with Westerville to help offset the cost of The Games totaling $3,000. Additionally, several in-kind donations were received and passed along to the athletes. Nine different agencies joined together to host events throughout central Ohio. Looking ahead, Central Ohio Senior Games will be the state host for 2015 & 2016!
