6 Study Objectives To study the various types of NDT test methods for collecting the pavement responses of different category of the roads on the distinct soil strata in the state of Chhattisgarh Selection of appropriate NDT and Conventional test method. Collection of data by performing various NDT as well as conventional field & lab test on different location. Analysis of the results from the objective 1, 2, & 3, including software. To prepare and develop a data base of in-situ resilient modulus of various types of soils using NDT tests Development of methodology on rapid NDT test for low volume roads

7 Scope of Work To study and understand various conventional practices being adopted for the performance evaluation of low volume roads. To carryout laboratory and in-situ experimental work on various low volume road sections in the state of Chhattisgarh.

17 Non-Destructive Testing NDT equipment operates by applying a load to the pavement and measuring the resulting maximum surface deflection or the surface deflection basin. NDT results are used to determine the following: Asphalt Pavements Elastic modulus of each of the structural layers Allowable loads for a specified number of load applications Overlay thickness design
