4 Freshman students presentation in the Neuroscience Lab Rotation This month the 1st year students presented their work developed during their second semester long participation at various neuroscience lab rotations. Different students worked in each of the 4 sections of the neurolab: psychophysiology, neurophysiology, neuroimaging and neuromodulation. On June 27 th, 29 groups of 2 to 3 students presented their work for an audience compromised of their professors and an entire team of neurolab. Presentations displayed tireless efforts and commitments of both, the freshman students and their teachers. Congratulations to all!! 4
5 Anticipating her internship at Merel Kindt Lab in October, Ana Ganho attended CSCA Summer School, related to Emotional Memories, from patient to synapse, at Amsterdam University. At the end of her course Ana presented a poster on Role of cortisol and adrenalin in emotional memory at the Symposium of Emotional Memories, on June 28 and 29. This month the Neurolab had its first paper writing week. During the week of June 18 to 22 nd all lab members dedicated their time to writing papers, with already analyzed data, or to revising and re-submitting previously submitted work. With several papers submitted, as well as sent to co-authors, the 1 st trial was good but we will all aim to do better in the second edition of this initiative... 5
