2 (adjective) right, true or accurate (verb) to make or set right; to direct to the right answer Fortunately, I chose the correct answer on that tricky multiple-choice question. Someone corrected this incorrect spelling of America.
3 rectitude (noun) the quality of being honest and morally correct; guided towards moral correctness Shaolin monks spend their lives meditating, and living life of rectitude and peace.
4 rectify (verb) to correct an error; to make right; to straighten out a problem The software engineers attempted to rectify the problem which was causing the program to shut itself down.
5 rectilinear (adj) formed by straight lines A rectilinear figure is a figure all of whose edges meet at right angles. In photography a rectilinear lens causes straight lines in the subject appear straight in the image.
6 erect (adjective) standing with your back and neck very straight (verb) to build; to set upright When you stand with your posture erect, you look taller and more confident. The Lincoln Memorial was erected in honor of the dedication and service of President Abraham Lincoln.
