1 EPA 7 th Summer School Scholars - General presentations Jovana Antonijevic, Serbia I am a psychiatry resident, PhD student and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy trainee from Serbia, with experience in volunteer and health-promotional work. I am passionate about psychiatry, psychotherapy and clinical research. Well-being of my patients is extremely important to me, and I am constantly trying to find ways to expand my knowledge and learn better ways to help them. I am also very passionate in trying to help reduce stigmatization of people with psychiatric disorders in my community. Ekin Basar, Turkey I m a second year Psychiatry resident, working in Trakya University, Adult Psychiatry Department. Besides that I ve been training in Psychodrama therapy for four years now. I want to widen my network with my colleagues and improve my skills on psychotherapy field. Sercan Belirgan, Turkey I finished medical school in Istanbul and completed my psychiatry training in Izmir. After living and working in these greatest cities of Turkey, I am working as a young psychiatrist in a state hospital in far east of the country, province of Van for a year. Moving from very west to east gave me the oppurtunity to work with a completely different profile of patient. When gaining professional and personal experience here, I am trying to continue my training in psychotherapies. Silvie Ceresnakova, Czech Republic Hi, my name is Silvie, I come from the Czech Republic and I live in Prague, in the capital. I finished the Charles University just one year ago and since last September I have worked at the psychotherapeutic department in the National Institute of Mental Health, near to Prague. Except the psychotherapy I love different kinds of sports (Frisbee, running, swimming...etc.) and I am fond of music as well singing and playing some musical instruments.

2 Francesca Vittoria Costantini, Italy Hi I m Francesca! I m a trainee in the 3rd year of the Specialisation School in Psychiatry at the Università di Milano Bicocca. After graduating from the Università di Tor Vergata in Rome in 2013, I moved to Milan almost 3 years ago. As I started working, I learnt to appreciate the huge complexity and multidimensionality of my job and I gradually developed a sincere interest for patients suffering from eating disorders and for adolescents with mental health problems. Passionate about travels and sports, I m constantly looking for exciting and unique lifetime experiences, as sometimes life can turn out surprising and totally unexpected. Also a good food lover as I couldn t otherwise be Italian. Vladimir Djuric, Serbia My name is Vladimir Djuric and I am currently a resident doctor in the field of psychiatry at the Clinic for Psychiatry, Clinical Center of Serbia, in Belgrade, Serbia.. I am currently 2 nd year of my residency. and also a young psychiatric representative of the Psychiatric trainees Section of Serbia. My field of interest was oriented toward psychiatry and psychotherapy since I have finished my basic medicine studies. Parallel to my medical experience in the field of psychiatry gained through my work at Psychiatric hospitals I have started basic psychotherapeutic education in Cognitive Behavior psychotherapy at RECBT Affiliated Training Center of Albert Ellis Institute Belgrade, Serbia. After I gained Primary and Advanced Certificate Practicum in REBT/CBT I have started a psychotherapeutic work under supervision through which I gained experience with depression, somatoform disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder. Also, parallel with my training program, I have my own private psychotherapeutical practice in Belgrade where I work passionately with different types of patients. I am especially interested in depression, panic disorder, sexuality and substance related disorder. Mariia Dorofaikova, Russian Federation Adelina Dubas, Romania My name is Adelina Dubas, I am 27 years old, I live in Bucharest, Romania. I spent most of my training time in Prof. Dr. Alexandru Obregia Psychiatry Hospital where my current position is a third year resident doctor. My interest has been directed to the prodromal symptoms and the early intervention in all types of psychiatric pathology; the resilience; the future prospects, and strategies in the treatment and in the social integration for all this types of psychiatric disorders. In my spare time I like to spent time with my friends,to go to concerts, I take selfdefence classes and somedays I really enjoy some free time with a good nonmedical book.

3 Eva Dujovnics-Karcher, Hungary My name is Eva Dujmovics-Karcher. I have been working as a trainee in psychiatry. I started my residency program at University of Szeged Department of Psychiatry four years ago. I have chosen this specialty because of its complexity and the wide variety of other modalities, e.g., assertive community treatment, community reinforcement, and supported employment. During my residency period I have gained valuable experience in the field of psychiatry. I had an opportunity to work in acute and in rehabilitation units as well. At my workplace we use group therapies, mostly psychodinamic approaches. For me this participation is really important, because I can use the personal experience in the enrichment of our program. I enjoy working in a team and I consider myself flexible, open-minded and sociable. I can easily adopt to a new situation, and I am ready to explore a different culture and new techniques. Marta Gonçalvers, Portugal I am Marta Gonçalves, born and raised in Aveiro, one of the most beautiful cities of Portugal. Studied medicine in Coimbra Medical University and graduated in In 2012 I have done my General Residency and since 2013 I am a Psychiatry trainee in Coimbra Hospital and University Center. Since my third year in University I ve decided that psychiatry were my passion and would be fully part of my life. I m thrilled by learning, sharing experiences and getting to know more realities and colleagues. Tomasz Gondek, Poland Tomasz M. Gondek - Medical Doctor. Fourth year psychiatry trainee at the Lower Silesian Centre of Mental Health in Wroclaw, Poland. PhD candidate at the Department of Psychiatry, Wroclaw Medical University. 4 Rasmus Handest, Denmark I m a 32y/o male, educated as a doctor in 2014, but I have worked in psychiatry since My experience with psychotherapy only dates back to March this year. I spend much of my spare time with organizational work, as chairman of the Psychiatric Trainees in Denmark, and supplementary member on the board of the Danish Association of psychiatrists. When I m not occupied with psychiatry, I enjoy hiking, various sports and enjoying meals with friends and family. Valentini Kanellopoulou, Greece Hello everyone, my name is Valentini Kanellopoulou and I am first-year psychiatry resident in University Hospital of Crete PAGNI. My ambition is to become a neuropsychiatrist. -I consider that psychotherapeutic techniques are an undeniable tool for our patients. Finding more efficient ways to put them in practice is something that will enhance the patient-therapist relationship and will broaden our treatment horizons. Valmira Kodra, Albania My name is Valmira Kodra. I am a 3 rd year resident of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Albania. I have always wanted to work with children because I love them. Deeper I get into my profession the more I like it. I am friendly and positive person, i always try to see the good in people and I like to share with them. I am a nature lover. 5 Ulker Mammadov, Azerbaijan Hi Friends, my name is Ulker from Azerbaijan. I am currently working at the National Mental Health Center in Baku. I was very happy to know that I had been selected to the 7 th EPA summer school as it will be my first international experience. I have a strong interest and necessity to gain knowledge and practice in psychotherapy. My goal is to become a very high qualified psychiatrist and provide the best services to people with mental illnesses. I really love my job and I believe in myself. Anastasia Medvid, Ukraine Hi there. My name is Anastasia and I m a psychiatrist with an interest in Integrative Medicine and Positive Psychotherapy. I love to write, read, and make people smile. Here are a few of the things I believe in: Discovering joy and happiness in everyday life, even amidst chaos and stress Synthesizing Eastern perspectives on mindfulness and spirituality into the Western view of the mind and brain Integrating traditional psychiatric treatments with complementary approaches Frederico Mucci, Italy Sabina Najafova, Azerbaijan My name is Sabina. I live in the land of fire - Azerbaijan. I graduated Azerbaijan Medical University and started my career working at inpatient hospital in the region. Treatment of patients especially in the rural area is usually limited with pharmacotherapy. Now I am working at the National Mental Health Centre in Baku. We provide outpatient services using multidisciplinary approach. I am sure that this program will help me to improve my knowledge and skills in psychotherapy which is extremely important in my everyday practice. EPA summer school gives me an opportunity to create a network with colleagues from different countries. I expect to find good friends. I hope we will spend a pleasant and unforgettable time with the 7 th EPA-summer school participants.

6 Alavro José Palma Conesa, Spain My name is Álvaro Palma Conesa. I obtained the degree in medicine by the University of Granada and I am currently a psychiatry trainee in the university hospital Parc de Salut Mar in Barcelona. I collaborate in research with the Spanish Network of Addictive Disorders, with the ONG project Energy Control as a medical counsellor and with the EVICT group for scientific dissemination. Regarding psychotherapy, I practice regularly mindfulness based meditation and I have achieved level II in the practice of Motivational Interviewing. I am deeply interested in acquiring further skills in order to improve my clinical practice. Daniels Samburskis, Ireland In September 2016 I have finished my specialty training in Latvia from where I originate and decided to gain experience elsewhere. I am currently holding general adult psychiatry post in St John of God Hospital in Dublin, Ireland as registrar. During my 5 year career in psychiatry I have developed interest mainly in general adult psychiatry. I believe that each psychiatrist need to have best possible knowledge in psychotherapy to practice efficiently and better understand their patients. Asialy Seker, Turkey I m Dr. Asilay ŞEKER from Kayseri, Turkey. I m currently a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry trainee at the Erciyes University Hospital. I truly love my job (it s been a dream of mine to become a psychiatrist even before I could pronounce the name of it ) and see it as a precious opportunity to further explore human mind and behaviour. My special interests include sexology and psychiatric genetics. I m also really into psychotherapeutic interventions such as CBT, EMDR, mindfulness and many more. I can t wait to get together with colleagues and professors from all around Europe and find out more about what they do in their practice, so I m sure I m going to benefit from the EPA Summer School a great deal. Diana-Elena Stanlescu, Romania Hi! I m Diana Stanculescu. I am a young specialist in adult psychiatry. I live in Bucharest, Romania and I currently work in a both private and state owned practice. I am interested in different types of therapy and have studied some existential psychotherapy and brief solution focused therapy.

7 Anca-Ioana Stanomirescu, Romania I am second year trainee in Adult Psychiatry. I work at The Emergency County Hospital in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I am very passionate about Medicine and working with people in general, but working with a psychiatric patient is especially thrilling and challenging. I feel genuinely grateful whenever they trust me and share their most intimate thoughts and emotions. I strongly believe that not much is needed in order to bring relief and comfort, sometimes unequivocal acceptance and the simple and sincere act of listening are enough. The human mind is endlessly diverse and having a multidimensional perspective upon it is a privilege. Nikola Zaja, Croatia My name is Nikola Žaja and I am from Zagreb, Croatia. I am currently in the second year of my psychiatry training at University Psychiatric Hospital Vrapče in Zagreb. I am also in training in cognitive behavioural therapy and I find this course to be a great opportunity for me to gain knowledge and new skills that will help me at this early stage of my career. I am looking forward to meeting colleagues from different countries to share our experience and to set a good starting point for our cooperation in the future.
