What people are saying about the course: ERICKSON A set of techniques for making changes and communication which works, usually quickly, and at times, dramatically. More compelling is the promise and example it allows for increasing options. It affords the opportunity to gain flexibility, creativity, and therefore, greater freedom of action than most of us now know. Psychology Today Neuro-linguistic Programming is the most powerful vehicle for change in existence, whether it is applied to business, law, medicine, or therapy. Psychology Today It may be the ultimate behavioural engineering tool. NLP could be the most important synthesis of knowledge about human communication to emerge since the explosion of humanistic psychology in the sixties. Science Digest NLP has untapped potential for treating individual problems. It has metamorphosed into an all purpose self improvement program and technology. Time Magazine Instead of hoping that training concepts will transfer to the work place, the NLP technology allows certain behaviours and/or aspects of training to become an automatic response in the actual work environment. It is the most powerful and dynamic training tool available. Steven Drozdeck, AVP Senior Sales Trainer, Merrill Lynch and Co. NLP has proven to be an extremely effective communication tool in both resolving business issues, enhancing capabilities and as an aid to effecting rapid and significant organizational change. Jay Spechler, PhD., Performance Engineering, American Express The addition of NLP into your sales training curriculum may very well be the single best thing you can do for your programs, as well as for your career. Now my programs are better attended, the participants feel like they learn more and I have greater support from senior management. Michael Saggese, Director of Training, Midatlantic National Bank. After taking the course, I have much more ease in speaking with people. However, the most dramatic result was an immediate 50% increase in my direct sales. Catherine Lavelle, Marketing Rep., Context Training Corporation Complex revolutionary thinking made easy. Brent King Excellent, excellent course. It has provided me with a whole new way of living. Eva Tinktin, University Professor This course gave me powerful tools to enhance the quality of my life and those I am in contact with. Bob Gottfried, TMG Inc. This has been the most beneficial course I have ever taken. Bill Fraser One of the most satisfying experiences I have ever had. I have never felt as charged as I do now, thank you. Tony DiGiovanni, Paragon Development Center Excellent course. I will live this moment on with a zest for life. It has allowed me to see things in a totally different perspective. Delphine Smith, Realtor I personally grew taller and richer thanks to the course!!! (figuratively and spiritually) Jim McConnell, Counsellor
NLP Practitioner Training A Definition of NLP ERICKSON NLP is a Synthesis NLP could be the most important synthesis of knowledge about human communication since the explosion of humanistic psychology in the Sixties. Science Digest A remarkable integration of several disciplines such as neurology, psychology, linguistics, cybernetics and systems theory, the name was chosen by the co-developers of NLP to reflect that unique synthesis. Neuro...because all of our experience, conscious and unconscious, is derived from and through our senses and central nervous system. Linguistic...because our mental processes are also coded, organized, given meaning and transformed through language. Language as a means of perception, not as just a means of communication. Julian Jaynes Programming...because people interact as a system in which experience and communication is composed of sequences of patterns or programs. NLP is used in the widest possible range of situations and personal concerns. New ways of thinking, reacting, relating and living are developed from the natural abilities you have within you. Learn how to live up to your own potential and discover states of excellence as you gain rich and valuable insights into the limitless possibilities available in the communication processes of NLP. Thus, NLP is: The study of human subjective experience. About people and for people. About how the human brain works. How people think, learn, motivate themselves and change. A model of competent, charismatic communication. A how-to process to guide personal change.
ERICKSON NLP is an Interactive Model The greatest discovery of our generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their states of mind. William James Equally as important as realizing what NLP stands for is also the knowledge that NLP is: An Attitude...characterized by a keen sense of curiosity about people and an approach to others that considers each experience as a rare and unprecedented opportunity to learn. Because the more you learn about any process, the more you can successfully influence it and engage in other processes that are synonymous with being a more competent and happier person. A Methodology...based on a way of interacting with people that reveals a startling and revolutionary premise: behavior, communication and change have a structure, as does every human endeavor; a structure that can be modeled, learned and taught. Based on the evidence since its inception, NLP can be used to reproduce any form of excellence in human behavior. A Technology...with innovative, reliable and proven techniques that allow you to organize your perceptions and behavior to get extraordinary and ecological results designed to preserve the integrity of the person.
ERICKSON The NLP Model And Presuppositions NLP is a model: It is not a theory nor is it concerned with the ultimate truth of human behavior. Following are the presuppositions upon which that model is built. To test a presupposition, act as if it were the case, and notice the results you get. Everyone lives in his or her own unique model of the world. Reality is a function of agrement. (People operate most out of their internal maps and not out of sensory experience.) People always make the best choices available to them given their unique model of the world and of the situation. Meet them at their model of the world: resistance is an opportunity for agreement. There is a solution (a desirable outcome) to every problem. People possess the resources they need: the task is to organize these resources. Everyone already has everything they need to solve all of their problems from their own personal history. It is important to remember that the explanation, story, or metaphor used to relate facts about a person is not the person. It is useful to make a distinction between a person and the behavior they exhibit. Especially when someone is learning something new, make a point to evaluate the behaviors only, while holding constant a positive valuation of self. Similarly, the behavior a person exhibits is separate from the intention or purpose of that behavior. It is useful to assume that the intention is positive. People make the best choice they can for themselves at any given moment, and their messages and behaviors deserve to be respected. The meaning of a communication is the response it elicits. Obviously good intentions make no difference if people receive a different communication. Their response is what matters. In interactions among people, the person with the most flexibility and variation of behavior can control the outcome of that interaction. In cybernetics this is known as the Law of Requisite Variety. In other words, doing more of the same behaviors will get you more of the same results. If what you are doing isn t working, do something else.
ERICKSON NLP is Excellence In Action How Was NLP Developed? NLP is a collection of skills derived from studies of individuals generally acknowledged to be super successes. These successful people had naturally created patterns of excellence in their lives and repeated them with consistent, positive results. These patterns of excellence have been translated into a synthesis of practical, reliable and learnable techniques called NLP. What is so Compelling About NLP? NLP continues to be a source of motivation to the thousands who have benefited from its positive and far-reaching effects. It does offer impressive potential for making changes and improving communications. More compelling is the promise and example it allows for increasing options... and for enlarging choices of behavior...(nlp) affords the opportunity to gain flexibility, creativity and therefore greater freedom of action than most of us know. Training and Development Journal Who Can Benefit From NLP? Educators, doctors, nurses, executives, lawyers, managers, sales-people, ministers, and therapists have all joined the growing ranks of NLP ers. You will discover how quickly training in NLP can dramatically maximize your potential and improve your performance in any desired context. Our Commitment...is to promote the evolution of human knowledge and experience by recognizing, modeling, and teaching patterns of creativity and personal At all times, our commitment is to maintain the highest standards of quality and professionalism and to ensure that NLP is communicated with responsibility and respect for the integrity of the individual Columbia Street, Vancouver, BC, BC, Canada V5Y V5Y 3V6 3V6
