6 How To Consult With Designers: A Three Session Series For Gerontology Students A three part series with the goal of teaching Gerontology students what they can add to the work of architects, interior designers, and product designers. By now, most designers are aware of global aging. But, by and large, they do not understand enough about the implications of aging or the social worlds of older people. This series is designed to teach Brookdale students how to be a new and important resource for architects, product designers, and interior designers. Now, more than ever before, design requires teamwork and input from a variety of specialists. This three part series will explore ways that Gerontology students can add value to teams designing for older people and their social worlds. NOTE: This course counts as 3 elective credits for all programs. DATES & TIMES: April 26, May 3 and May 10, 6:00 pm 9:00 pm FACULTY: Jeffrey Rosenfeld, PhD LOCATION: Brookdale Conference Room, 8 th Floor, Silberman Building, 2180 Third Avenue (at 119 th Street) FEE: This course is included as an elective for all programs.
