5 2-1-1 s New Helpline! You can call to find help! In 2006 Broward County leaders collaborate to address a major issue of special needs families: navigating the system. To address this, Broward was funded by CSC to offer a specialty line. The service is free and offers support and linkages to resources.

7 Mission Statement 211 Palm Beach/Treasure Coast s mission is to connect people to services 24 hours a day by understanding their individual emotional, financial and community needs and to support the health & human service system as a whole.

9 211 HELPLINE IS HERE FOR YOU!!!!! 211 s special needs program knows that finding services for a child with special needs can be a difficult and frustrating experience.
10 211 s Special Needs HelpLine provides a No Wrong Door approach of entry into the Palm Beach County System of Care
11 Helping children with special needs live better lives by connecting their families with support, answers and resources, that will enable their child to reach for the STARS!!!!
12 By dialing three simple numbers, 2-1-1, parents & caregivers of children (birth to 22) with special needs can easily and effectively navigate the maze of available services.
13 Families & caregivers can find help accessing healthcare options, financial assistance, support groups, education information, respite, state & federal programs, and other services.
14 This assistance is FREE of charge!!!

16 Types of Service Information & Referral Telephone Counseling Crisis Intervention Suicide Prevention Community Education & Outreach Call for information, referral, crisis intervention, and community education 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
17 Elder Crisis Outreach Supportive crisis counseling Comprehensive needs assessment Goal setting and a plan of action Linkage to community services Advocacy with family or service providers Suicide evaluation Follow-up
18 Sunshine Telephone Reassurance FREE friendly daily telephone calls to say Hi and to check on the wellbeing of participating seniors, people that are homebound and/or have disabilities.
19 Health Navigator Working with community organizations and health service providers, specially trained Health Navigators will assess callers health needs, screen for and enroll them in benefits programs, schedule their medical appointments, assist them with getting any needed prescriptions, and provide follow-up services.
20 Teens can chat on line by logging on to Screen name teen211pbtc1. IM service is available 3-11pm 7days a week
