Role: Principal Investigator NIH/NCI P50 CA Ribisl (PI) Center for Regulatory Research on Tobacco Communication Effective Communication on Tobacco Product Risk and FDA Authority The goal of the Center is to use communication science to improve messages about cigarette smoke constituents, emerging tobacco products, and the FDA's regulatory authority over tobacco products. The Center will conduct three integrated research projects among vulnerable populations and across the lifespan to inform regulatory science. Role: Postdoctoral Research Fellow Completed Research Support HRSA 1UB6HP Hart (PI) Rural South Public Health Training Center The Center served medically underserved counties in Florida, particularly in northern rural regions of the state, by providing competency-based training for public health workers, enhancing public health services, and improving community access to services. The center focused on public health core skills and the skills required to address prevention and management of HIV/AIDS in the rural South. Role: Research Coordinator NIH/NCI R21 CA Pomeranz (PI) Creating a Tobacco Cessation Program for People with Disabilities: a CBPR Approach The goal of the grant was to use Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) to develop and test a tobacco cessation group treatment program for people with disabilities.
