Gifford. The town of Vero was incorporated June The name of the town was changed to Vero Beach June 1925 the same month the State of Florida created Indian River County. Contains newspaper articles from a variety of Florida newspaper on the east coast from the 1890s to the present. Some of the newspapers included a separate column which would be news from Vero. One title they used for several years was Vigorous Vero. Through the years, many newspaper and magazine articles printed histories on the town. Many of them are in the collection.
