5 /8/ NON FATAL DRUG OVERDOSES BY COUNTY Majority of the drug overdoses involved pharmaceulcal drugs- with most abused being Opiates such as hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine, and fentanyl. Some overdoses are cocktails and involve both street drug as well as pharmaceulcals. This year 5 involved marijuana, 7- cocaine, 6- methamphetamine, 7- heroin, - ecstasy and 9- PCP. A CDC report in ranked Oklahoma 9 th in the najon for accidental prescripjon drug overdose deaths D.C.- based non- profit group, Trust For American Health, ranked Oklahoma #5 in O.D. deaths from deaths per, people Recent Federal Survey ranked Oklahoma #8 in non- medical use of prescripjon painkillers. An esjmated 6, Oklahomans are addicted to prescripjon painkillers. 8 /8/ PRESCRIPTION MONITORING PROGRAM Within days of gaining access to the PMP, a large clinic idenjfied 7 pajents who had been lying to their doctor for years! The PMP system idenjfied a doctor shopper who had seen nearly prescribers and over pharmacies in one year. A number of physicians were able to idenjfy employees who were using the doctor s script pad At a major conference, a PMP registered doctor proclaimed that the PMP as the Best tool for doctor s that I have ever used.
