6 This is not something I wanted to do but it is something I need to do! I have asked others to share their story, so here is my share. Sharing my thoughts and opinions for others to read is almost painful, but I want to always learn new ways to improve my sobriety and have a peace of mind and be happy, joyous and free (quoting Bob)!!! Today I have to accept any situation and person as the way God intended it to be, when I do that I have a better day and some conscious of God. I want to invite anyone who is reading this to consider writing your story so others can be helped in knowing they aren t alone. Most of my spiritual awakenings are usually hindsight. When I was made to go to rehab it was in the hospital I was born in. It wasn t till 2 years later that I understood that God gave me another start. I often write down moments that I call God moments; I believe we all have them it s just seeing and believing in them. I have had so many opportunities to meet some great and wonderful people in my sobriety. Some have become my spiritual advisers, some aren t around anymore and some who are my teachers. I don t want to lose my sobriety and forget all that I have learned in this amazing sober life that I enjoy now! Thanks for letting me be of service and learning more about myself. NECS Staff, Barbara L.
