Prof. Martin Krix, Bracco Imaging, Konstanz, EFSUMB CEUS Liver Guidelines - Prof. David Cosgrove The evolving CEUS Guidelines are introduced with the mechanism of production explained, in particular the enormous effort that goes into producing these guidelines by a large group of experts Malignant Focal Liver Lesions - Dr. Hans-Peter Weskott Malignant focal liver lesions: B-mode, colour Doppler imaging and contrast enhanced ultrasound criteria, typical cases will be presented Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Current Imaging Guidelines - Prof. Fabio Piscaglia Ultrasonography is the recommended method of surveillance in patients with cirrhosis for early diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), occuring in 2-5% per year. CEUS is able to display the internal vascularization of any nodules, leading to the ability to establish a diagnosis of HCC, achievable in the same patient session. Moreover, when the conclusive typical findings of HCC are not present, CEUS has superb ability to suggest that a nodule is benign or malignant.
