2 Read the text below about a healthy diet called Raw Foodism and answer the questions. Raw Foodism Raw foodism is a diet based on uncooked and unprocessed food, which are usually called live or living food. Its belief is that a high-enzyme diet will ensure optimal health, once the enzymes help us to digest food and raw food already contains enzymes to help this process. When the food is cooked, the enzymes are destroyed by heat and our bodies have to produce them. It is believed that producing enzymes and digesting food simultaneously cause too much pressure on our bodies. Cooking is also believed to reduce the nutritional value and life force of the food. There are other reasons why people prefer to follow this diet, such as: losing weight, anti-aging properties, health benefits, physical performance benefits, among others. A growing number of raw food diet followers are vegans who believe that consumption of animals is unethical and unhealthy. This diet can be, if well prepared and followed, delicious, diverse and well-balanced providing optimal health and ideal weight. a) What is a Raw Food diet? b) How can the enzymes present in raw food help our organism? c) What are the reasons why people choose to have a raw food diet?
