An enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher is required to work with pupils of a full age range and having autistic spectrum disorder /communication difficulties. The successful candidate will: Manage pupils aged 7-11 years with autistic spectrum and provide appropriate support for their needs, working closely with the school s ALN team. Have a good knowledge and understanding of teaching pupils with ASD /communication difficulties and other complex needs. Have high expectations of learning and behaviour. Have a positive, caring attitude. Be able to manage support staff effectively. Be committed to providing a stimulating environment for learning and teaching. Be able to work as part of a committed hard working team. A relevant qualification in the field of special education would be an advantage or experience in the field.

Experience of teaching children with Autistic Evidence of using Person Centred Practices Skills Abilities An excellent classroom practitioner. An interest in, and sensitivity toward, pupils with Autistic. An excellent role model for Good IT skills

Job Role Duties will include: specific responsibility for the teaching of children with Autistic pupil assessment monitor pupil progress preparation, monitoring and review of individual education plans. attendance at Review meetings and preparation of reports prior to Reviews supporting the spiritual and moral development of pupils. identifying appropriate inclusion opportunities for pupils supporting the behaviour and welfare of pupils.
6 preparation of appropriate assessments and teaching programmes liaison with external agencies. liaison with the ALN team and other teachers as necessary. guidance to school staff on the teaching and inclusion of pupils with Autistic. liaison with and support for parents of pupils with Autistic. transition of pupils from primary to secondary education. planning, monitoring and evaluation of support staff within the class. Reporting and Accountable to Learning Department Officers as appropriate; and the Headteacher, or nominated member of senior staff, in schools.
