4 INVITATION 10 October 2017 Dear Colleagues, th Almost like a natural occurring event, we intend to conduct our 19 academic course, The Ear and Sinus Surgery th th Workshop in Nashik from 14 to 17 February, Encouraged purely due to overwhelming response by faculty, delegates and sponsors, the organizers are charged and exhilarated to organize the event. The course is designed is such a way that the basic and advanced surgeries are addressed very well for the beginner and for the experienced surgeons. These basic and advanced surgeries are well mixed with the art and science of the ear and the nose surgeries. We have hands-on wet temporal bone and cadaveric endoscopic sinus dissection for delegates under guidance of faculty with individual attention. The basic course will take the delegates from how to hold the dissection specimen, to sitting posture while dissection, to cortical mastoidectomy, to labyrinthectomy, to translabyrinthine approach for IAM, without leaving anything in between. The basic dissection is for two days, with each delegate having their own wet specimen. Similarly we have ensocopic sinus dissection will cover from basic to advance like how to hold an enoscope to ethmoidectomy to frontal recess approach to skull base exposure, again without leaving any thing in between. Each delegate will have their own wet specimen. We would like to share a common feed back of delegates of previous workshop. Though differently worded, the most recurring comment of 2017 batch was: Excellent, Exhaustive and Meticulous! Like always the focus of the organizers will be pure in intension, approach and implementation. Academics and practical tips and tricks will alone prevail during these eventful days. During live surgery we intend to demonstrate basic and advanced otology and rhinology procedures. During the February 2018 workshop for otology we had cases like tympanoplasty, stapedotomy, ossiculoplasty, revision mastoidectomy, cochlear implantation, excision of giant size facial neuroma. Similarly for rhinology we had cases like DCR, nasal polyposis, inverted papilloma, CSF rhinorrhea etc. Our invited guest faculty is Dr.Nishit Shah from Mumbai for rhinology and Dr.Shabbir Indorewala for otology. 6 FACULTY Shabbir Indorewala : From Nashik, India. Consultant & MD of Indorewala ENT Institute, accredited by College of Physicians & Surgeon, Mumbai for DORL and by MUHS for Fellowship in Otology for PG students. He is recipient of RAF Cooper & AOI-E.Merck Awards. His name is included in Limca Books of Records 2011 for having performed maximum number of stitchless ear surgeries. He has developed and popularized concept of : Endomeatal Tympanoplasty, Anterior Tympanotomy, Dimensional Stability of Free Fascia Grafts. His research on fascia was invited for presentation at International Fascia Research Foundation at Harvard University in He has started fully equipped center for Cochlear Implant surgery at Nashik since He has been invited as operating faculty at various ENT forums at many places within the country and abroad. He is passionate about pinnaplasty, petrous apex and other lateral skull base surgeries.

7 NISHIT SHAH FACULTY Dr. Nishit J Shah: From Mumbai, India. Consultant at Breach Candy Hospital and Hon. Associate Consultant at Bombay Hospital. He has extensive experience in all ENT, Head & Neck and Skullbase surgeries. His special interest is Endoscopic Skullbase surgeries including CSF repair, Pituitary, Chordoma, Craniopharyngioma and skullbase meningioma surgery. He has performed the highest number of endoscopic pituitary and skullbase surgeries in India. He has to his credit number of papers and publications in various journals and books. He has been invited as Guest Faculty both on National and International forum on number of occasions. He is a versatile sportsman and has represented his college in Cricket, Tennis, Swimming, Water Polo, Basketball, Table-tennis, Athletics and Football.
