6 Attractions Zhuzihu Calla Lily Festival (March - May) Yangmingshan National Park, Taipei City The rainy and damp weather in the high-altitude Zhuzihu valley provides an ideal environment for the cultivation of calla lilies. This is one of Taipei s major floral events. There will be more than 45 lily farms will be open to the public and visitors. Queen s Head Rock Yeliu, North Coast National Scenic Area The cape, known by geologists as the Yeliu Promontory, forms part of the Daliao Miocene Formation. It stretches approximately 1,700 metres into the ocean and was formed as geological forces pushed Datun Mountain out of the sea. A distinctive feature of the cape is the hoodoo stones that dot its surface. A number of rock formations have been given imaginative names based on their shapes. The best known is the Queen s Head Rock. Fisherman's Wharf - Tamsui River mouth, New Taipei City A multi-purpose leisure fishing port developed by the New Taipei City Government. There are magnificent floating piers and a spacious park, with a bridge in the shape of a boat spanning across the harbor and a wooden path stretching over 300 meters at the waterfront. In the evening, this is the best place to watch the view of the sunset. Jiufen Old Street New Taipei City Used to be the center of gold mining. It is located within the hills in northeast of. The village is next to the mountain and facing the sea. Now, there are many unique teahouses in Jiufen. These teahouses are best stops during visit to this mountain village. Also, there is the beautiful ocean view of Keelung outer sea.
