12 Abstract Submission Guidelines The Scientific Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for both oral and poster presentations. The MATCVS Young Investigator s Award comprising a certificate and cash prize of RM 2,000 (for the winner) and RM 1,500 (for the runner-up) will be given for the oral presentations for the presenting authors below 35 years of age as of 5 th May Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and best poster presentations. Deadline for submission of abstracts 1 st April 2016 Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts 1. Abstract must be in English. 2. The length of each abstract should not be more than 400 words. 3. CAPITALISE entire TITLE, then author s name, institution or hospital, city and country. Underline presenting author s name only. Omit degrees and title. Include full address. 4. Use of standard abbreviations is desirable. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word, the first time it appears. Use numerals to indicate numbers except to begin sentences. 5. Organise the body of the abstract as follows: (a) a statement of the purpose of the study; (b) a statement of the methods used; (c) a statement of the results; (d) a summary of the conclusions reached. 6. Text must be typed single-spaced, no space between paragraphs. 7. Abstract submission must be accompanied by registration fee. 10
