2 19,030 Oklahomans will be diagnosed with cancer in 2018, and that 8,740 will die from their disease. Oklahoma has the SEVENTH highest cancer mortality rate in the nation.

7 Journey to NCI Designation Bringing NCI designation to Oklahoma has been a state and university goal since 2001, when the legislature approved House Bill 1072.
