THE SPEAKERS Andrey Pavlov PIC, Russia Andrey Pavlov was born in 1997 and graduated from the Belgorod Agricultural Academy in 2000 as a veterinarian.

Previous to this, he held the positions of Chief Geneticist, Production Specialist, Chief Selection Specialist, Selection Specialist and Chief Production Specialist in a variety of companies.

His career started with the Dutch Animal Health Service where he was involved with national disease prevention programmes.

2 THE SPEAKERS Andrey Pavlov PIC, Russia Andrey Pavlov was born in 1997 and graduated from the Belgorod Agricultural Academy in 2000 as a veterinarian. He then gained his PhD in swine breeding and genetics in Since 2013 he has been Genetic and Technical Support Manager for PIC Russia. Previous to this, he held the positions of Chief Geneticist, Production Specialist, Chief Selection Specialist, Selection Specialist and Chief Production Specialist in a variety of companies. Peter van t Veld Denkavit Nederlands BV, The Netherlands Peter van t Veld graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Utrecht, The Netherlands, in His career started with the Dutch Animal Health Service where he was involved with national disease prevention programmes. Then, for 16 years, he was an associate partner in a private veterinary services group where he specialised in the health and management of rearing young animals. In 2007, he joined Denkavit where he is currently their Technical Manager for export markets. Roselle Falconite-Cudal Elanco, The Philippines Dr Roselle Falconite-Cudal has been a veterinarian for over 20 years. She started her career as an epidemiologist and laboratory diagnostician with an integrated swine company then moved into the corporate world to offer swine health and production technical support. She is a Diplomate of the Philippine College of Swine Practitioners and is currently Elanco s Technical Consultant for Swine. Wouter Depondt Huvepharma, Belgium Wouter Depondt graduated in 2001, having specialised in pigs, poultry and rabbits. He started his working career as a poultry practitioner and then spent seven years as the Technical and Commercial Manager for swine at NV Ostyn. Here he was responsible for 100 customers, mainly large independent pig producers. Wouter then moved into the pharmaceutical sector and in 2012 joined Huvepharma where he is now the Global Manager for their portfolio of veterinary products.

Gustavo Sa Ribeiro Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco Company, Thailand Gustavo Sa Ribeiro holds degrees in zootechnical engineering from UTAD in Portugal and in international livestock production from CAH, in the Netherlands. He has over eight years experience in animal nutrition and has worked at Trouw Nutrition in several positions including R&D, Marketing and Technical Manager (monogastric and swine) in different parts of the world, such as The Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, Eastern Europe, Africa and most recently in Asia Pacific. Mark Eastaugh Apiam Animal Health, Australia Mark Eastaugh is a veterinarian and commenced pig consultancy work in the 1980s providing herd health services to small and medium farms in Central Queensland, Australia before joining Bunge Meats P/L as a herd veterinarian. He was responsible for some 40,000 sows and progeny and that led to a long posting as a Technical Manager and then General Manager of the 25,000 sow operations of the KMP/ Culindo/Indotirta herds in Indonesia. He is now a consultant veterinarian for Apiam Animal Health. Mark Mombarg Ceva, Malaysia Mark Mombarg is a Dutch veterinarian who graduated from Utrecht University. He spent a few years in practice before accepting a staff position at the same university. There, he was involved in research, teaching and consultancy, and obtained a Master s degree in veterinary epidemiology. In 1999, he joined the pharmaceutical industry and from 2008 until 2015 he worked at an R&D centre in Spain, developing vaccines against multiple swine diseases. Since 2015, he has worked for Ceva Animal Health as Swine Market Manager Asia.

THE SPEAKERS Anthony Pearson LANXESS, UK Anthony (Tony) Pearson comes from English farming stock and after working at Pauls/BOCM, he became General Manager of the Al-Khalidia turnkey project in Saudi

In 2005/6 he worked with FAO in SE Asia on the avian influenza challenge. Since then he has worked closely with governments helping them counter various disease challenges including AI and ASF.

4 THE SPEAKERS Anthony Pearson LANXESS, UK Anthony (Tony) Pearson comes from English farming stock and after working at Pauls/BOCM, he became General Manager of the Al-Khalidia turnkey project in Saudi Arabia in In 1993 he became CEO of Antec South Africa. Following their takeover in 2003, he became Dupont s Global Business Leader for poultry. In 2005/6 he worked with FAO in SE Asia on the avian influenza challenge. Since then he has worked closely with governments helping them counter various disease challenges including AI and ASF. Today, Tony leads the LANXESS Disinfectants Global Technical Marketing Team. Mike Van Schepdael Genesus, Canada Mike Van Schepdael is Vice President and a founding partner of Genesus Inc and his daily responsibilities include overseeing sales and marketing activities for Genesus as well as operational decisions. The company currently has approximately 40,000 sows in nucleus and multiplication in Canada, USA, England, France, Germany, China, Russia, and Spain. Mike was raised on a grain and hog farm in East Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada, and has an Honours degree in agriculture from the University of Manitoba.
