2 EVENTS & CELEBRATIONS April 5: Certificate Distribution- These students have successfully completed NSDC recognized Retail & Housekeeping certification courses. April 10: Science Workshop at Primary School- Mr. Akhilesh Agarwal conducted a workshop on behalf of I Love Science.

3 April 17 to 20: Indian Sign Language (ISL) Sessions in Sardar Patel Vidyalaya (SPV) School, Delhi- 20 students of class 9 th attended Sign Language classes for 3 days at their school. Our trainer, Shubham conducted the sessions and on the last day these students visited our centre, as per the tradition followed over the years. That day, they interacted with the students of NDS and performed a mime for our students and trainers. April 24: Blue Dart Blue Edge Empowering Lives- Graduation Ceremony- NDS Gurugram organized the Graduation Ceremony for students who successfully completed their various courses ranging from Indian Sign Language, various levels of English and IT programs. A total of 120 students attended the ceremony. Our chief guest Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, Regional Business Head-North, Blue Dart motivated the young students to work hard and shine in life. Ruma Roka appreciated the continued support Blue Dart has provided and applauded the efforts of deaf students in driving the process of mobilization for the project.

4 VISITS April 3: Donor Visit at Jaipur Centre- The Hans Foundation (THF) visited NDS centre at Jaipur. Ms Shabina Bano of THF was present at the centre for classroom observation, held an interactive session with parents of our students, interacted with the teachers and management at Poddar school and visited Hotel Mansingh to meet with deaf candidates employed in their fa cility. April 3: Sexual Violence Seminar- The Hans Foundation and Human Rights Watch organized a consultation to launch a new Human Rights Watch report on access to justice for women and girls with disabilities who have experienced sexual violence in India. It was an effort to recognize the government s initiative to safeguard the rights of women and girls, including women and girls with disabilities and enable their participation in investigative and judicial processes. Ms. Shalini Gulati represented NDS in the workshop. April 10: Student Visit by Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi.

5 April 17: Team visit & initiation of the classes at Jyoti Badhir Vidyalaya, Kanpur under our Deaf Schools Outreach Partnership Programme. April 26: Primary School Students visit to Pathways School, Noida- The visit was full of energy, enthusiasm and learning for the students of NDS. They participated in an art competition, outdoor games, a movie was shown to them and performance of the National Anthem in Indian Sign Language were the highpoints of the day.

6 EMPLOYMENT & SENSITIZATION Our placement team conducts Sensitization Sessions at companies creating a sensitized workplace ecosystem and how to work effectively with deaf youth.
