2 About Use the Cochlear Nucleus CR30 Remote Assistant to control and monitor your Cochlear Nucleus CP910 or CP90 Sound Processor. If you are a bilateral recipient, your remote assistant can control both processors. NOTE More information and warnings in the CR30 Remote Assistant User Guide.

6 TIP Check status Use the sound meter to check whether a processor or accessory is working properly. 7 Wake QUICK GUIDE SCAN ABOUT Your remote assistant will go to sleep when not in use. Press any button to wake it again. 7
8 Charge battery There are three options for charging: A Use the Cochlear Nucleus Battery Charger and the Cochlear Nucleus Battery Charging Kit. 8 OR B Use the Cochlear Nucleus CR00 Series Charging Kit. NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT

14 Change programs Up to four programs may be set up by your clinician. Use the program buttons to change between programs. Program button Program button SCAN Program button 14 Program button NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT
15 Adjust settings Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust settings such as volume, sensitivity, bass and treble (as set up by your clinician). USE VOLUME 6 TIP Up button Adjust volume (or sensitivity, if set up) directly from the home screen by pressing the up or down buttons. Down button QUICK GUIDE 15

18 Wireless Accessories When a Cochlear Wireless Accessory (Mini Microphone or TV Streamer) is paired with your processor, use your remote assistant to start and stop streaming audio. 18 NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT
19 1 USE 1x On Turn on Long-press the telecoil button once to turn Mini Microphone or TV Streamer on. NOTE You use the controls on the Phone Clip to make and receive calls. QUICK GUIDE 19
20 Use Mini Microphone on Mini Microphone is streaming audio to your processor. TV Streamer on TV Streamer is streaming audio to your processor. Phone Clip on Phone Clip is streaming audio to your processor. 0 NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT

22 Plug-in audio accessories If you connect a plug-in audio accessory to your processor, it immediately sends sound to your processor. You can also use your remote control to turn the accessory off and back on. NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT

25 3 Off QUICK GUIDE SCAN USE 1x Off Turn off Short-press the telecoil button once to turn plug-in audio accessory off. 5
26 Telecoil Listen to hearing loops and hear voices on the telephone with the telecoil. Your clinician can set up your processor with manual telecoil and also auto telecoil. Auto telecoil detects the telecoil signal automatically whenever you use a telecoil-compatible phone or are in range of a hearing loop. 6 NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT
27 1 1x Telecoil QUICK GUIDE USE x Auto telecoil SCAN Turn on Telecoil Short-press the telecoil button once to turn telecoil on. Auto telecoil Short-press the telecoil button twice to turn auto telecoil on. 7
28 Use Telecoil on Telecoil is active on your processor. Auto telecoil on (receiving) Auto telecoil is on and your processor is in range of and detecting a hearing loop or telephone. Auto telecoil on (standby) Auto telecoil is on, but your processor is not detecting a hearing loop or telephone. 8 NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT
29 3 Off 1x Off USE QUICK GUIDE SCAN Turn off Short-press the telecoil button once to turn telecoil or auto telecoil off. 9
30 Advanced mode Your remote assistant is set to Simple mode by default. If required, you can switch to Advanced mode to adjust settings on your processor and remote assistant. To enter Advanced mode: 30 NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT
31 Cancel Switch Off SCAN Reset Settings OK SELECT Practice Advanced Advanced Mode Turn on Program Numbers OK SELECT USE Press and hold the OK button. QUICK GUIDE When the menu Press the OK appears, press the button. down arrow to highlight Advanced Mode. 31
32 Adjust advanced settings If required, you can use Advanced mode to adjust advanced settings. To reset settings, see Reset processor on page 36. 33 SETTINGS TELECOIL MIX 3 SCAN Press OK to enter USE Use the right arrow button to navigate to the Settings screen. QUICK GUIDE Press the OK button to enter advanced settings. Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust settings. 33
34 Pair Pairing allows two devices to communicate with each other. Usually, your clinician will pair your remote assistant before first use, but there may be times when you have to pair it yourself (e.g. if you receive a replacement remote assistant). NO PROCESSOR PAIRED Hold processor coil to back of remote If your remote assistant displays a No Processor Paired screen: 34 NUCLEUS CR30 REMOTE ASSISTANT
35 NOTE If you are a bilateral user, you will need to repeat steps 1 and for your second processor. 1 TROUBLESHOOT PAIR PROCESSOR? OK Place coil on the back of your remote assistant. Make sure your processor is on. QUICK GUIDE PAIR Press the OK button. 35
