2 From the Director s Desk December 28, 2016 Dear CE Customers, Alumni, and Friends: This wall calendar is designed to help you and your team members see at a glance the course topics, cities, and dates where LSU has scheduled CE courses during During the first two months of 2017, LSU CDE will schedule and announce a number of new 2017 CE courses that are not on this calendar. Go to our website www. LSUHealthNewOrleansCDE.org and watch for announcements to learn about these new courses. During 2017, LSU CDE has scheduled a live video-conference option (marked VC on the calendar) for seven different, seven-hour, CE courses each streaming live from one of four Louisiana cities. If you live 150 miles or more outside one of these cities, you can attend these courses live via video conferencing on your laptop or desktop computer, receive live CE course credit, and ask questions as if you are at the live course. On May 19-21, 2017 at LSU School of Dentistry, certification courses are scheduled for dentists to obtain or renew their permit to administer oral sedation to adult patients only or to adult and pediatric patients. 4 THE FOURTH LSU SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY Orofacial Pain Continuum Establishing a new category of CE for orofacial pain. in Starts June 2, 2017 and Ends May 22, 2018 (LSU School of Dentistry) The 4th LSU Orofacial Pain Continuum A limited-attendance, 5-session interactive program for dentists and other health care professionals who have a desire to enhance diagnosis and management of patients with TMD, sleep disorders, and other types of orofacial pain. Directed, coordinated, and presented by Drs. Henry Gremillion, Dale Ehrlich, Gary Klasser and Christopher Spencer with additional faculty in the areas of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Clinical and Health Psychology, Physical Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Neurology, Practice Management, Risk Management, and Coding and Billing. Cancellation & Refund Policy The Louisiana Academy of Continuing Dental Education, Inc. (d/b/a: LSU Health Continuing Dental Education) reserves the right to cancel any course should circumstances warrant such action. If the Academy makes a decision to cancel a course, it will refund your full tuition. (If a CE course is cancelled or rescheduled, the Academy is not responsible for the cost of a nonrefundable airline ticket, flight change, or hotel room reservation.)
