Mr Cowley is the principal dentist and we currently have 2 associate dentists and 1 foundation dentist. In 2010 the surgery underwent a major refurbishment. All aspects of general dentistry are offered except orthodontics and implants, cosmetic work is undertaken including tooth whitening, inceram crowns etc. The surgeries are air conditioned and set out to the same general format, they are equipped with ADEC and Belmont equipment. Each surgery also has the Schick digital X-ray system in place and there is a Florida probe shared between the surgeries for all to use. Staff at the practice is all qualified and GDC registered, 1 nurse has the radiography qualification and oral health educator s qualification. The practice is forward thinking and encourages staff to extend their skills and attend relevant training events and CPD courses. Currently we are looking into more training for oral health education to help us provide clearer care pathways for our patients. We operate an open door system where any ideas or suggestions are listened to, and anything that can help or improve a patient s experience of the practice or the smooth running of the practice is implemented. The practice is situated three quarters of the way up Queen Street on the cross roads with the building being on the left side. Parking is available on the Street or there is a staff car park behind the practice. Wellington has a railway station which is 5 minutes walk from the practice.
