1 Version 22 Note: It is possible that non-roche reagents may cause carry-over interference. Roche is not responsible for any carry-over interference caused by non-roche reagents. Urea and Ammonia should not be applied if GLDH is run on. Amphetamine II must not be run on as TQ Hemoglobin A1c II and / or TQ Hemoglobin A1c III (see special procedure AMP II) Oral Fluid Methamphetamine must not be run on as TQ Hemoglobin A1c II and / or TQ Hemoglobin A1c I There are no special wash steps necassary for Oral Fluid Methamphetamine if only DAT assays are run on the Modular system. Please note that the individual wash steps must be programmed before the 'all tests' wash steps. 5 Carry-over Evasion List Version 22 Revised May 2012 Special Procedure for Amphetamines II: It is advisable to install the tests in Column 1 on one module and the tests in Column 2 on another module. In this case no special calibration handling or special wash programming is required. Column 1 Column 2 Amphetamines II TQ Hemoglobin A1c II [ ACN 074, 125, 006, 803 ] Amphetamines II TQ Hemoglobin A1c III [ 423, 424 ] When you are running Amphetamines II, and TQ Hemoglobin A1c II and / or III assay on a Modular-P system having only one Modular-P analyzer, please follow the below instructions: The special calibration procedures below must be followed when any test listed in Column 2 is processed in the same routine run on. Avoid processing the Amphetamines II as the first test from standby. If no other testing is pending then a dummy test sample should be processed to prevent the Amphetamnies II from being the first test from standby (Dummy test order any test having an R1 (not ACN 074, 125, 006, 803, 423, 424)). SPECIAL CALIBRATION AND SAMPLE HANDLING Amphetamines II The Amphetamines II assay must not be calibrated or assayed immediately after the processing of any calibration, control, or routine HbA1c [ACN 074, 125, 006, 803, 423, 424 ] test order. If the Amphetamines II must be assayed, or calibrated in Operation, Rack Supply Complete, or Rack Collect End, then run one serum sample or dummy serum sample for any serum assay between the last HbA1c [ACN 074, 125, 006, 803, 423, 424 ] test processed and the first Amphetamines Calibrator, control, or sample. Special Cell Wash Procedure for TQ HbA1c II and / or III: Use the following wash procedure when TQ HbA1c II and / or TQ HbA1c Gen.3 III is run in batch mode on Modular-P: 1. Ensure that the analyzer is in the stand-by mode 2. Remove the bottles containing NaOH-D (cat. no ) from position 1D1 and 2D1 3. Replace with 70 ml bottles filled with ISE cleaning solution (cat.no ) 4. Select Utility screen 5. Select Maintenance 6. Select Wash 7. Touch Select ( deselect modules not needed) 8. Execute The analyzer will automatically use ISE cleaning solution to fill each cuvette. Once completed, the procedure is automatically terminated by the analyzer. As soon as the analyzer has returned to the stand-by mode continue with the following: 9. Remove ISE cleaning solution from position 1D1 and 2D1 10. Replace with bottles containing NaOH-D (cat.no ) 11. Continue with routine work Carry-over Evasion List Roche/Hitachi Version 22 page 5 of 5
