4 requirements for the Fitness Certificate. Students will be encouraged to register for certification preparatory courses to ensure every student leaving the program passes national certifications and are marketable to future employers. Recommendations, Proposals, and/or Funding Requests: Perkins Funding will be requested to pay for fitness facility (TC 113/115) upgrades/needs. The Fitness faculty would like to repair and replace the decades old flooring in the aerobic room and provide an anti-skid surface to the weight room area (TC115). The slippery floor has become a huge safety hazard for students participating in weight room classes. The Fitness faculty would like to switch the two fitness facility areas to assist in providing more effective, and efficient instruction. It is not safe to have the cardio and weight room equipment in two separate rooms. It makes it very difficult to supervise the safety of all students.
